Rail trip from Dublin Heuston - Ballybrophy - Limerick - Limerick Junction - Cork - Limerick Junction -Carrick - Waterford - Kilkenny - Dublin Heuston

The sections from Ballybrophy to Limerick and Limerick Junction to Waterford were at the time under threat of closure and indeed two weeks later the viaduct at Cahir (crossed on the later journey) collapsed!
